Clayton Eye Center

Dr. Joon Kim is the Medical Director and President of Clayton Eye Center. He received his B.S. from Brown University, and obtained his M.D. from the University of Alabama, where he also completed his Ophthalmology Residency.

Dr. Kim is a board certified ophthalmologist, specializing in cataract surgery. She is highly trained in modern, no-stitch, cataract surgery, and experienced in utilizing new technologies.

Dr. David d’Heurle has been with Clayton Eye Center since 1987. He received his B.A. from Manhattanville College and obtained his M.D. from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. John Allen completed his B.S. in Chemistry with specialization in Biochemistry at the University of Virginia, graduating with Distinction.  He subsequently obtained his medical degree from Wake Forest University school of Medicine. 

Lauren M. DuBiner, M.D. is an ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and her master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton, PA.

Dr. Peter Chen earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Medical College of Georgia and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry.

Dr. Myong Lee received her B.S. from Wellesley College and received her medical degree with honors from the University of Alabama School of Optometry.

A native to Atlanta, Dr. Phlong earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science Education from Georgia State University. She then graduated with Honors from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.

Dr. Brenton Smith received his B.S at the University of Georgia and his Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Daniel Strait received his B.S. from Auburn University and his Optometry degree from the University of Alabama.

Dr. Diem My T. Bui earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Mercer University. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University.
